Earlier today, it was announced by the AGCC that Bernard Group Tapie has withdrawn their application for a gaming license. As part of the ongoing negotiations with Full Tilt, Tapie had applied for a category 2 gaming license under the shell company Orinic Limited. This move was assumed to be one of the last steps towards re-opening Full Tilt, however it appears that deal has been officially ended, assumed to be a result of Poker Stars negotiations to acquire the failed business.
While the rumours behind Poker Stars negotiations have yet to be confirmed, it’s a sure bet that the deal between Full Tilt and Bernard Tapie is no more. Looks like players are once again left waiting, hoping that there will be resolution in the near future.
